Under the leadership of Rabbi Arye Sufrin (pictured at right with his family), the YICC Teen minyan features a dynamic group of teens who possess an active leadership role in running a shabbat minyan. The Teen Minyan's warm and welcoming environment allows everyone from ages 13-19 to truly enjoy themselves while davening. Minyan begins every Shabbat morning at 9:30 am and is located at the Elm Club! Every Shabbat features a short d'var halacha given by Rabbi Sufrin, which is then followed by a gourmet HOT Kiddush stocked with cholent, deli, and wings! In addition, our minyan has tons of exciting events through out the year that engender's friendship amongst our teens outside of a shul setting! See you on Shabbat!
Arye Sufrin, our very dynamic and charismatic Teen Leader, assumed the position of YICC Teen Leader in September, 2009. Arye graduated from the Sy Syms School of Business with honors in accounting, and recently spent his first year of marriage at Reishit Yerushalayim where he and his wife served as the Av and Aim Bayit. While living in Reishit, Arye was responsible for giving numerous chaburot and shiurim nightly, as well as hosting the students on a weekly basis for an oneg shabbat. He has previously served as the Director for YUSSR's Pesach Program, and spent three summers in Camp HASC as a counselor and division head. Arye is a musmach of Rav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg Shlita and recently left his position at Deloitte & Touche LLP to pursue his dream in the field of Jewish education. In addition to his role as YICC's Teen Leader, Arye currently serves as a Legacy Heritage Teacher Fellow for Yeshiva University, Student Activites Coordinator, and Rebbe at the YULA Boy's High School.
