Judaism Through the Lens of an Artist "Storytelling and the Power of Words" with Meirav Finn
Past SessionsThursday, November 19, 2020 • 3 Kislev 5781 - 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Thursday, November 12, 2020 • 25 Cheshvan 5781 - 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
We do not read the Torah as merely a story book but rather it is analyzed and interpreted, in order to glean the lessons and concepts that we carry with us and implement in to our lives.
Art is often the same way. To understand a piece, we often have to dig deeper and use the elements of art to uncover meaning and storytelling within the work.
In this two part series we will uncover different methods that both the Torah and artists use to create meaning
as well as create our own art pieces using these methods.
Meirav is our own home-grown talent, from the YICC community. She has a B.A. from University of Maryland in Fine Art and Graphic Design with a concentration in Sculpture.
