For our Pesach Yizkor appeal this year we will be raising money to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Los Angeles area hospitals and EMS personnel.  We are so grateful to the tireless efforts of the healthcare workers who are serving on the front line taking care of patients suffering in various forms of the Coronavirus .   As is well known, there is a massive shortage of N95s, Sani Wipes  as well as regular masks. We will also be purchasing Powered Air-Purified Respirators , PAPR for healthcare workers. Each unit costs around $750 .  A PAPR is a mask that the healthcare worker wears over their whole face not just their mouth and nose and prevents any droplet or airborne virus and bacteria from entering their respiratory system.  

In order to ensure our funds go to the correct places, we will be supporting the campaign being personally led by ER worker Isaac Moorvitch of CPR Ready, who earlier this year served as our community's CPR instructor.  You can learn more about Isaac in the video below.
